Superintendency Service (in accordance with the DBPA)

The role of Sydney Strata Engineers under the New South Wales Building Design and Building Practitioners Act (2020) is to ensure compliance with the regulated design, oversee the construction process, and protect the interests of both the Strata Owners and the community.   3. Construction Inspections: Sydney Strata Engineers conducts regular inspections to assess the quality and progress of the construction work. We verify that the construction is being carried out in accordance with the approved plans and regulated designs and identify any defects or non-compliance issues that need to be addressed.
  4. Dispute Resolution: In case of disputes or disagreements between the contractor and the client or any other party involved, Sydney Strata Engineers acts as a mediator or facilitator to facilitate negotiations and resolution of the dispute. We provide expert advice, document the discussions, and
    offer recommendations to resolve the conflict.
  5. Documentation and Reporting: Sydney Strata Engineers will maintain accurate records, documentation, and reports relating to the construction project. We will document all inspections, audits, variations, and any other relevant information. We also prepare progress and final reports for the client, detailing the construction progress, issues, and any outstanding matters.
  6. Ongoing Communication: The superintendent acts as the liaison between the Strata Owners, contractor, and other stakeholders. We ensure clear and effective communication throughout the construction process, providing regular updates, responding to queries, and addressing any concerns or requirements raised by the client or other parties involved.
  7. Safety and Compliance: As superintendent, Sydney Strata Engineers will play a crucial role in ensuring safety standards are met during the construction process. We monitor and enforce compliance with health and safety regulations, review safety management plans and report any unsafe conditions or practices to the relevant authorities.
  8. Handover and Certification: Upon completion of the project, Sydney Strata Engineers inspects the construction work to ensure it meets all necessary requirements and regulated designs. We issue the necessary certificates of completion or occupation, confirming compliance with are applicable laws and standards.
